Personal Message:
The Comrades Marathon is more than just a race; it’s a journey of endurance, resilience, and heart. For me, the 2025 Down Run is deeply personal—it’s my way of honoring my late dad, who lost his battle with cancer. Losing him changed my perspective on life. I saw firsthand the pain cancer inflicts, not just on those it affects directly but also on their loved ones. That’s why I’m supporting CHOC, an organization dedicated to children fighting cancer. Their work is a beacon of hope for families navigating the unimaginable. I’ve set a goal to raise R6000 for CHOC as I train for this iconic race. Each step of my journey will be dedicated to the warriors who can’t lace up their shoes and run, to the parents who stay strong for their children, and to the memory of my dad. Running Comrades is about pushing beyond limits, and so is fighting cancer. Both require courage, strength, and the support of a community. I believe together we can make a difference—because this is more than a race. If my story resonates with you, please consider contributing to this cause. Your donation won’t just help me reach my goal; it’ll help CHOC continue their incredible work. Together, let’s run for those who can’t.
