Personal Message:
Whilst working as anaesthetic doctors in government institutions, on a daily basis we are met with families and children facing unimaginable battles, often providing care for young cancer patients undergoing critical surgeries and treatments. Although we work tirelessly within the walls of the hospital, we know how important it is to make a difference outside it, too. We would love to use Comrades Marathon, as an opportunity to rally together and raise awareness for CHOC, the Childhood Cancer Foundation. We understand how essential the foundation’s support is to our young patients and their families, providing not only financial assistance but also emotional care and guidance. Running the grueling 90 km race would be a symbol of solidarity with the children’s own fight against cancer — a fight filled with endurance, courage, and hope. Through our marathon journey, we hope to inspire others to support CHOC and contribute to a future where no child faces cancer alone.
