My daughter has a friend who has battled with cancer. Zoey's story is one of overcoming! She has the best attitude towards life and lives it to the full with a bubbly personality, positive outlook and GINORMOUS laugh! It is not lost on me that Zoey means "Possessed with vitality, looking to the fullness of life"! She inspires me to live a joyful life in spite of what I face, and to not sweat the small stuff. Being part of Zoey's journey and having seen the incredible support she received made me wonder about other children with cancer that do not have the amazing network that Zoey had. And so I have chosen to align with this year's Comrades Slogan "Isiko Mhilo - More than a Race" and run for more than just the achievement of my own goals, but to raise funds for CHOC to help children with cancer.
