Rise Against Hunger

Personal Message:

Hunger impacts society on many levels. A hungry person is an angry person. A hungry child is taking a backward step every day. A hungry child does not learn, does not play, does not develop into a fully functioning adult. Rise Against Hunger takes on the mammoth task of fighting hunger in the world. Running for Rise Against Hunger Africa, is a small gesture to honour my late parents who cared deeply about the community and taught us the same values. A meal keeps a hungry child in school a day longer, gives them hope, and potentially alters their future in a positive way.
