SANParks Honorary Rangers

Personal Message:

I want to run the Comrades Marathon not just as a personal challenge but as a journey of purpose — to support the South African National Parks Honorary Rangers. Our parks are a treasure, home to incredible biodiversity and a source of pride for our nation. Yet, they face immense challenges, from poaching and environmental threats to limited resources for conservation. By running this iconic race, I aim to raise awareness and funds to empower the Honorary Rangers in their selfless mission. They are the guardians of our wildlife, the protectors of our natural heritage, and their work is critical to ensuring future generations experience the beauty and wonder of our national parks. This effort isn’t just about running; it’s about rallying people around a cause that touches all of us. Nature sustains us, inspires us, and connects us. By contributing to this initiative, we’re not only preserving our parks but also investing in the soul of South Africa. The Comrades Marathon is a symbol of resilience, determination, and unity — values that align perfectly with the mission of the Honorary Rangers.
