Supporting CHOC Childhood Cancer Foundation South Africa As a pharmacist and mother, I’ve learned that some battles require more than just medicine — they require hope, resilience, and community. After giving birth to my daughter in 2014, I was hit with the devastating news of a large tumor just 10 months later. Fortunately, it wasn’t malignant, but I had to undergo surgery to remove my right ovary and fallopian tube. This experience changed me. It reminded me how fragile life is and how important it is to support those facing unimaginable challenges. This year, I’m running the Comrades Marathon for CHOC Childhood Cancer Foundation South Africa — for the children and families whose strength inspires me daily. Every kilometer represents not just my journey, but the hope and courage of young fighters battling cancer. Your support can help CHOC provide life-saving treatments, emotional support, and a brighter future for these children. Together, we can bring hope to those who need it most.
