The idea of running the Ultimate Human Race has been a childhood dream for as long as I can remember. I was prepared and ready for the 2020 down run....the one that did not happen due to COVID. This year I am ready to attempt it once again. It will be my first Comrades Marathon and will be an honour to run for my chosen Charity, The Hillcrest Aids Center Trust (HACT). All funds that I raise will benefit those who are in desperate need of care, shelter and food. HACT is an integral part of our community in KZN and the impact of COVID, the KZN Riots and recent floods have made it very difficult for the dedicated staff to take care of those in need. I still remember the first time you started running scratch club and I didn’t think time would fly by so fast until you reached your childhood dream. I can proudly say that I’ve seen the hard work and effort you have put in , the early mornings , the long hours on the road and especially me having to get up early to let you out .
