Childhood Cancer Foundation (CHOC)

Personal Message:

My daughter Sarah was diagnosed with Leukaemia in 2019. We walked one of the most challenging journeys of our lives. In 2020, Sarah were fortunate to receive a bone marrow transplant days before SA went into hard lockdown. Although we are not 100% out of the woods, Sarah is progressing well. Without the support of so many friends, families, strangers and organisations we would never be at this point. Like Comrades, walking childhood cancer is a marathon. Its long, its difficult and full of pain but it also comes with a glorious display of the human spirit. In times of darkness, the human spirit always shines through and for so many this is what makes the difference. Its the thing that holds you up, allows you to put one more foot in front of the other. Life really is about the people around you. Here is the power of the human spirit. May we all continue to rise and let our hearts be the power behind the world.
