I am running my first Comrades in memory of my dad, who completed 10 Comrades himself but passed away before he could see me run my first marathon. I am running for HACT because over the past 25 years my mom has made this charity what it is today, and as a doctor myself I stand by the ongoing fight against the HIV/AIDS epidemic in our country.

Awesomely done La. We are so very proud of you for all your achievements and this one in particular for all the personal reasons you mentioned. We saw you (albeit ever so briefly) as you were about to cross the finish line and you looked like you could do it all over again. All those years of TMC Long Walks in the Hornby Bus clearly paid off. I’m sure there were times when things felt tough and I’m equally sure you could hear these words coming through softly but clearly “Pinkit, you’ve seen and done this all before, now focus and get on with it”.
