Personal Message:

My love for running began about 6 years ago when I started training for the Three Cranes Challenge, which is a trail running event hosted by Wildtrust. Since then I have completed 5 Three Cranes Challenges which take place in the magnificent Karkloof, my happy place. I also managed to successfully complete The Comrades Marathon in 2018 and 2019 before lockdown hit. This year was an incredibly special Three Cranes for me as I got to participate in the run with my husband and my dad (age 66). We all successfully completed the 90 odd kilometers, over 3 days which is a memory I will forever cherish. The events hosted by Wildtrust have brought me so much joy and has further instilled a deep love for trail running and time spent with family and friends and I would like to help support them on their mission to continue preserving endangered wildlife and extremely important ecosystems. As a Life Sciences teacher this is a cause close to my heart and it would be an honour and a privilege to help raise funds for this incredible cause.
