Personal Message:

I have always believed that running Comrades Marathon should be more than about oneself, hence the reason I decided to raise funds for Wildtrust & specifically WILDOCEANS https://wildtrust.co.za/wildoceans/ I opted for them because I'm Pices, an ex surfer and an Oceanographer by trade, who is very passionate about conserving our Oceans. I started my Comrades Charity Challenge incentive and Website called "Haveaheart" in 2010, in support of Bafana Bafana (SA hosting the the FIFA Soccer World Cup) I completed my next race dressed as one of my favourite Superhero's, the Riddler (from the Batman movie) in a shocking green onesie, raising funds for a number of charities including the MS Society and my late mothers retirement home. If the truth be told It all began when I was inspired by a lifetime friend of mine Wendy Nisbet, who had & sadly succumed to MS +-7 yrs ago. I unfortunately lost my original haveaheart website a few years ago, so I simply ran my last Comrades in 2018, in honouring Tarzan (my 6th Comrades on my 60th Birthday on his 60th Anniversary of being on SATV) in his traditional loin cloth, tan, wig etc.What a blast that was seeking Jane along the route... I decided to raise funds formally this time and have some fun in the process, dressed as Superman my all time favourite Superhero, which seems kinda fitting with my surname
